It is common to find people of different races socializing. Expecially in the big cities. However, this may not be the case in small towns ( i live in NY so I cant really comment on the society in the small towns)How common are inter-racial friendships in America ?
Its common -- But not as common as the american media would make you think.... I live in a big city so of course have black friends.....
On the other hand my brother lives way out in suburbia and has no black friends.... there are none where he works or in his neighborhood.... Consequently he's afraid of black folks for some odd reason?....
I don't go out of my way to cultivate friends of other races but where I live there are blacks, arabs, asians and predominately white folks.... So of course I have friends of every background....
