This is a question I always wondered about.How the economic, social, and political factors of the inter-war period contributed to the Holocaust?anti-semitism - hatred of jews - has deep roots in Europe. Hitler capitalized this, and used the jews as a scapegoat for Germany's suffering under the Versailles treaty.
Before Hitler put Germany to work on public works projects and military buildup, people had to bring deutschmarks in wheelbarrows just to buy some bread - their money was that worthless.
Blame France and Britain, and everyone else who signed the treaty, and blame President Wilson for not pressing harder for a gentler solution.
