In [inter]national terms, how can a poor country pay back debt to 'rich' countries? What are their options?

Also, what are possible routes of action taken from the 'rich' country's perspective? In [inter]national terms, how can a poor country pay back debt to 'rich' countries? What are their options?hmmm ... they pay their debt like we pay back our loans to the banks, in installments.

;-)

cash or otherwise ... there are many international finance mechanisms which can be used to account for borrowing and for debt. a country might sign a contract to buy certain goods from the "rich" country and in exchange a certain portion of debt will be taken care of.

the "rich" countries have a few options if they want to go after the money ... stop lending to that country, ask World Bank or IMF to intervene etc.
