What is the process like for a inter-family adoption?

My little sister doesn't want to have a child and I am curious how hard it would be for me to get the baby? What is the process like for a inter-family adoption? Not hard at all, as long as she agrees to that. Just contact an attorney and have him write a petition for adoption to present to the court. You'll most likely have to go to a single court hearing, and your sister may have to come too. The baby's dad will probably have to be involved as well.

If that route isn't possible, you can get a guardianship over the child and raise him/her as your own without formally adopting.
