Is Voyager still heading for Inter-Stellar Space? If so, what are they discovering so far?

I was just wondering =)

Also, Are they ever planning to stop the mission or is it going to travel for many decades to come?

Thanks xIs Voyager still heading for Inter-Stellar Space? If so, what are they discovering so far?The mission will go on for a while, it will end either by depletion of the electrical power generators or by critical components failing. The last possible year for Voyager will be 2025 - past that time, the power generators will produce not enough power for preventing the spacecraft from freezing. Is Voyager still heading for Inter-Stellar Space? Try looking at NASA's site on the Voyager. They keep up-to-date information on all their missions. There is a list in alphabetical order.

EDIT: Looking at the below answers, it is true that it will eventually "die," and become out of range. Is Voyager still heading for Inter-Stellar Space? Both Voyagers are still continuing to transmit back to Earth.

The Voyagers will continue to travel for ever. You can't stop them. But they will eventually run out of batteries and be too far from the sun to recharge them. They then won't be able to communicate with us any more.Is Voyager still heading for Inter-Stellar Space? If so, what are they discovering so far?http://www.skyimagelab.com/pale-blue-dot鈥?/a>

You will love this site on Voyager. I am a fan too. It will go on as long as it can. Enjoy.
