Thanks : )Is there anything like an Inter Rail card for the UK?If you're NOT resident in the UK, then the BritRail Pass is available in different forms - either for 4, 8, 15, or 22 days or 1 months' continuous travel (BritRail Consecutive Pass), or 4, 8, or 15 days travel in a 2-month period (BritRail FlexiPass).
If you are resident in the UK, then you want the All Line Rail Rover valid for 7 or 14 consecutive days travel at any time on any train (7 days: Adult 拢430 standard class, 拢650 first class; Child: 拢284 standard, 拢429 first; Adult with railcard: as child (first class not available with 16-25 Railcard)). (14 days: Adult 拢650 standard class, 拢990 first class; Child: 拢429 standard, 拢653 first; Adult with railcard: as child (1st class not available with 16-25 Railcard)). Considering that if you were to turn up at Manchester Piccadilly station and buy a standard class return to London to travel in peak hours, without buying in advance, you'd pay 拢247 standard class or 拢387 first class, the All Line Rover is amazing value.
There are also Rovers available for more restricted areas than the whole of England, Scotland and Wales. Is there anything like an Inter Rail card for the UK?look on national rail :)Is there anything like an Inter Rail card for the UK?If you're seriously just thinking about it for a few days then you might be better to prebook tickets to a destination and just go.
To give you some flexibility you'll need open tickets but then you can break your journey on the return half if you want to.
As an example: Buy a London to Penzance saver. You must make all the outward journey on the date on the ticket, but the return is valid for a month (off peak) so you could do Penzance to St. Austell to Brixham to Bristol to Reading to London.
