I have been invited to London for an inter-work competition, would my manager pay transport fee's ?

I work for McDonalds' and have been invited to London next month for the last round of the competition, I only work part-time as I am a student and live just outside Edinburgh so travel will be expensive, do you think my manager would (or even should) pay for my transport fee's for the competition?I have been invited to London for an inter-work competition, would my manager pay transport fee's ?Not a tax question but McDonalds may sponsor you (or they may not) ask your manager and smile a LOT.
