Whats the cheapest way to move inter provincially?

Im moving from Vancouver to Edmonton next month and Im trying to find the cheapest was to move. Any suggestions?? We are low on funding. Often they are much cheaper than the big companies. Sell as much as possible and plan to replace it in Edmonton - yard sales and craigslist are great, so move as little as possible. Pack everything yourself, which will save a great deal. Even though many people think that renting a U=Haul and doing everything themselves must be cheaper, often it isn't much cheaper, especially if you get tangled up in a problem with U-Haul.
