What are some of the issues that may arise in a relationship such as this one? What do you think of inter-generational dating?I'm assuming its the 45 year old man that's asking this question, so I shall answer accordingly.
Well, the positive aspect, for the girl, is she probably won't have to worry about working anymore. Someone of your advanced age probably has a decent career with a fat enough paycheck to support a girl.
Speaking of girls, you do realize that you're old enough to be her father.
You were born in 1966, she was born in the early 90s.
You've almost got one foot in the grave, and she's not even done with college.
Also, you're in two VASTLY different phases of your life.
It will be awkward to hang around with eachother's friends, due to the huge age difference - friends of hers will be weirded out by a geezer hanging around...and your friends will wonder why you're dating someone who is barely out of her teen years.
All this is perfectly *legal* - but that doesn't make it a good thing.
Ask yourself this: when you were 20, would you have sought out a 45 year old woman to date?
Or even hung around such relics?
I doubt it.
