Possession doesn't mean anything. In fact teams that have most of the possession usually lose. It's what you do when you have possession that counts.Milito was able to hold the ball up for Inter - given to him by long passes then offload. He was able to get behind defenders.

Bayern's short passes were useless %26amp; gave Inter's defence time to get men behind the ball. I'm sure if more long balls were given to Robben he could have created something or scored himself. They played into Inter's (Mourinho's) hands. Of course if they did use long balls then Pandev, Milito, Shneider etc would have taken care of them anyway. Simply Inter has much better quality in their team. The only player in Bayern with quality of Inter's players is Robben.
