If AC Milan and Inter played in the champions league don't you think the away goal rule should be turned off? After all they share the San Siro and their is no real away league. Any chance of either team building their own stadium and moving out?If AC Milan and Inter played in the champions league? As to turning 'off' the away goal rule, why? The home match for Inter will have more Inter fans - more cheering for Inter. The other match will be a Milan home game - and will have more Milan fans - so more cheering for Milan.
The point of the away goal rule is that it is allegedly harder to score when you are playing against not only the other team, but the fans as well. That still applies when Inter beat, er meets Milan - even if it is in the same stadium. In other words, it isn't the stadium that matters, it's the fans.
So it really makes no sense to turn off the away goal rule IMO.
As to one or both of the teams building a stadium there has been some talk of that - the owner of Inter has talked about building a 40-50K stadium that would be for Inter alone. I haven't heard about Milan doing anything like this, but then I don't care about Milan. It's time for Inter to leave San Siro - the pitch is awful (quality of grass.)
Btw guys - Inter has won the last three meetings between the two teams, so the other answerers are in denial, if not totally insane. :) Inter will win the second derby game and the two as well in the CL but only if Milan is (1) lucky enough to get to the next round, and (2) unlucky enough to draw Inter.
Forza Nerazzurri!!!!
P.S. Have you Milan fans looked at the standings lately? Or for that matter in the last two years? :DIf AC Milan and Inter played in the champions league?
totaly agree with u but there wouldnt be such a case couse ac would beat inter away and home by atleast two goalsIf AC Milan and Inter played in the champions league? What's the point cause Inter will lose anyway lol
but I agree with you
yes i agree but that would be changing the rules set for all teams though and if they did play dida would probably get another flare to the headIf AC Milan and Inter played in the champions league? It's academic because it is still a level playing field for both of them. And we all know Inter would choke and lose anyway. If AC Milan and Inter played in the champions league?
I agree with riffster. This is a stupid proposal.
Nah.. the away goal rule should remain.. it makes things more fairIf AC Milan and Inter played in the champions league?
yep
it's between 65-80% Of Stadium's capacity for home side in their match like all for the other
and INTER already planning for new Stadium

BTW most loved and beatiful building in the world Stadio G.Meazza Rules Ever
riffster has forgotten how far ac milan has gotten compared to inter milan. hmmm.
no retarded question an all the milan fans are u kidding milans not gunna get past arsenal
good q. but there's always an away team and a home team even in the final of the CL. but i think the away rule will put more pressure on an opponent to play well in both matches and get the advantage in the away match. many teams progress often on the away rule, so its only fair it stays.
I disagree, while it is bizarre it is consistent and fair - during Inter home games they get a bigger allocation of seats so they have more fans and thus more of a 'home' atmosphere.
A stranger 'home' game is poor France in the rugby World Cup in France. They played a semi-final match in Wales even though it was their home WC.
