So basically, if I buy an Xbox 360 Elite, I need to buy an inter-cooling fan or whatever there called?

I'm hearing overheating issues with the Xbox 360. Would I need something to cool it down? Or the overheating issues are just rumors? I have left it on for long periods of time but i have never had problems with it overheating. Inter cooling fans go for about $20 not allot of money so its a reasonable price. I have had my 360 for over 2 years now and it still runs like a champ. I have it standing up and next to a receiver and a tv so it gets a little warm every once and a while but if you keep it away from heat sources and keep it standing up you should be okay.
