I have a jetta and i what to put a larger inter cooler, But i don't know which one also because i have APR chip on it so i need cooler air into the car, so if you can tell me which one would be a good idea? What is the best inter cooler for a jetta 1.8t?Honestly the side mount works perfectly fine on a chipped 1.8T. Most people who get a front mount do it for the looks, but yes it does help a little during a hot summer day from heat soak. Before doing an intercooler I would recommend a Turbo Inlet Pipe (Which APR sells - They call it a compressor inlet hose), which allows better airflow to the turbo. I would also recommend upgrading the weak Throttle Body hose, which connects from the Throttle Body to the side mount intercooler. During peak boost the stock TB hose flexes, which restricts airflow. APR also makes the throttle body hose, which is bigger than stock and a lot stronger.
Now if you still want an intercooler then I would go with a Eurojet. Its $820 and its a very easy install. Once, again you will see more power out of your car by doing the two things I stated above which costs together about $350-$400.
Good luck on whatever you decide to do. Hope that helps. I threw a few links below for you to check out.
